Introducing ‘Flower Power - The JAMESMAKESYARN Advent 2023’ - It is never too early to talk about Christmas around here, and with it being my absolute favourite time of the year, I am so excited to finally reveal my advent calendar for this holiday season to you all!

This Christmas will be my 4th JAMESMAKESYARN advent and I have decided to change things up a little and offer something completely different from previous years. Following the success and wonderful feedback from last years weekly advent, I have decided to once again offer a unique take on the traditional yarn advent calendar, making it the perfect choice for anyone looking for something a little different than the conventional.

‘Flower Power’ is designed with the intentions to open a single 100g skein on every Sunday during December, with one more remaining to be opened on Christmas Day. All five colourways will of course be beautifully bold and bright, with groovy vibes being at the heart of this alternative holiday advent. This psychedelic gift box comes on either 4ply sock yarn or DK, so you will receive either 5 x 100g 4ply/fingering weight skeins or 5 x 100g DK skeins along with some other little surprise treats in a keepsake box. Each skein will be individually wrapped and numbered so they are opened in order. They will also be a complete surprise when you open them, however I will be posting spoiler photos during the run up to Christmas Day! Think kaleidoscopic rich tones with splashes of garish neons and clashing colour combinations, all inspired by peace, love and the swinging 60's hippie movement.

The 'Flower Power' weekly advent calendars are now available for preorder and will be shipped out to you all by the end of October. You will receive a dispatched email once they have all been posted. All UK orders will either be sent 1st Class Signed For or Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm which includes compensation for loss or damage. Please consider upgrading your delivery to this service, as you will be fully covered in the event anything were to happen to your order during transit. All international orders will be sent Tracked & Signed For, again for added peace of mind if any were to go missing.

This yarn is hand painted in the Cotswolds using professional dyes and methods. Although the yarn is dyed in small batches, to help encourage similar colourways, no two skeins will be the same, meaning each skein will be a one of a kind creation. Therefore, I would recommend when using the same colourway throughout a larger project, to alternate between the skeins to help blend the yarns together and help prevent pooling.

I take the upmost in care when photographing the yarn, but please note, colours may vary slightly from monitor to monitor.

For best results, gently hand wash your knits with a drop of wool wash and let air dry. Although every effort has been made to remove excess dye from the yarn, minimal bleeding may occur on the first wash.
